MySpace Story : A Lesson For All
Not too long ago, in 2005, MySpace was sold to News Corp for $580m. A few years later, in 2007, MySpace was a giant with over 100 million users and a market value of $12bn. 6 years later, just a couple months ago, News Corp sold MySpace for $35m. I can't keep myself wondering how and what actually led this giant to such a failure, what was the story behind this failure?

Is the market going towards a quadropoly?
The Big 4, being Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and IBM, have speeded up their acquisitions in the recent years. They are great companies which I like and try to follow. But there is one thing that really disturbs me. Almost every magic quadrant vendor that showed a great success is either purchased and became a business line of one of these companies or somehow they have ceased to exist after the purchase. I can understand if it was only for two or three or even tens of purchases but we are talking about hundreds of purchases. I used to think that this would only happen in the Hollywood movies but it is real and it is going to have a serious impact on the market soon.

Nightmare on ERP Street
After reading the latest news about the lawsuits opened against some ERP companies, I cant keep myself away from writing this article. One of the latest news was "Epicor" being sued by "Whaley" corp, a company that sells and fixes commercial kitchen equipment, in South Carolina, USA.
